Heather Hudspeth Johnson MPH, DrPH

Heather Hudspeth Johnson was born and raised in the Trussville area. She is a 1997 graduate of Hewitt Trussville. She is married to Tyler Johnson, a 1998 graduate. Together they have three children.

Heather is an assistant professor at UAB School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Organization. She is a public health practitioner, specializing in maternal and child health. She has over 11 years of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating maternal and child health programs and has expertise in the evaluation of early childhood education programs, including Alabama’s First Class Pre-K program and Alabama’s First Teacher, the maternal, infant, and early childhood home visiting program. She received her MPH and DrPH degrees in Health Policy and Organization with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health Leadership and Policy from UAB.
