Mrs. Joy Young is in her tenth year as an assistant principal at Hewitt Trussville High School. She also serves as the Career Technical Education Administrator for Trussville City Schools and leads the various Academy Programs at HTHS. Mrs. Young holds a B.S. in Business Education from the University of West Georgia and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Samford University. Prior to her current position, Mrs. Young taught Business Education in Cobb County Georgia, and at Clay Chalkville High School and Hewitt Trussville Middle School. Mrs. Young is a native of Rome, Georgia. She and her husband, Philip, have resided in Trussville for 30 years and have three grown sons.
